This free community support group for local carers meets on the FIRST TUESDAY of each month 2.00pm to 4.00pm at the Briston Congregational Church Centre, The Lanes, Briston.
The group aims to offer information, guidance, advice, support and an opportunity to relax and take a break from the caring role whilst enjoying a cup of tea and coffee and some delicious cake.

Cley marshes visitor centre and nature reserve (nwt)

Walk with the warden, 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month. 10:30am – 12:30pm. £3.50 NWT members, £5 non-members / Booking essential: 01263 740008. Bernard Bishop has been the warden for more than forty years and is the third generation of his family to work at Cley Marshes. Hear about the history of Cley, how the reserve has changed over time and what life is like as a warden on a coastal nature reserve. Suitable for all walking abilities.

Winter Wildfowl and Waders, 3rd Thursday of the month.
10:30am – 12:30pm.  £3.50 NWT members, £5 non-members / Booking essential: 01263 740008. Winter on the reserve is a busy time for birds with many wildfowl and waders enjoying the rich pickings within the pools. Come and discover Cley’s winter bird population on a guided walk onto the reserve and into the hides.

Circuit of Cley, last Friday of the month. 10:30am – 12:30pm.  £3.50 NWT members, £5 non-members / Booking essential: 01263 740008. A guided circuit walk around the reserve and along the shingle ridge taking in the wildlife and habitats of the North Norfolk coast along the way. The walk is approximately 2.5 miles.

Beach Clean, 1st Saturday of the month. 10:30 am – 12 pm. Free. Help us to clean up our shore to benefit coastal wildlife. There are always lots of exciting wildlife and mysterious marine objects to be found on the shore too. In the event of adverse weather please contact the visitor centre in advance to check for cancellations. All equipment provided. Meet at Cley beach car park.

Birds of Cley, 2nd Sunday of the month.  10:30am – 12:30pm.  £3.50 NWT members, £5 non-members / Booking essential: 01263 740008.  If you are new to bird watching and want to learn more about birds, no matter what your age, join us for a walk onto the reserve with the chance a variety of birds in their natural habitat.  Binoculars can be provided.

Discover the huge variety of wildlife and habitats along the Cley to Salthouse living landscape. This walk starts at the visitor centre and heads east, up and along Walsey Hills - offering spectacular views across the marshes - before heading down to Babcock hide and back along the Attenborough way.

The Cromer Society was founded in 1946 with the object of promoting the cultural interests of its members by means of Talks, Lectures, Music and the Arts. The Society is apolitical and is open to everyone over the age of 16 years. New members are very welcome.

Extended Lectures
Two courses are run each year, one in the Autumn and one in the winter. They normally run for 10 weeks and meet on Wednesday mornings 10.00am 10.30am at The Cottage in Louden Road, Cromer.
Illustrated Talks
Currently there are only two talks per Season, one in the Autumn and one in Winter. These are held at The Bowls Club in Station Road, Suffield Park on a Thursday evening at 7.00pm.
Recorded Music
There are twelve recorded music presentations during the Season from October until the end of March. These are held on alternate Wednesday evenings, starting at 7.00pm at The Bowls Club in Station Road, Suffield Park.
Poetry Group
This group meets in each other’s homes on the first Wednesday afternoon of each month throughout the year.
Maddermarket Theatre Excursions
Monthly coach excursions from Cromer to Norwich are organised to see the final Saturday Matinee performance of a wide variety of plays at The Maddermarket Theatre.

It was founded by local people to support those living with dementia, their families and carers, in addition to increasing local public awareness of dementia.
